The Costa Maya Festival
committee regrets to announce that, for reasons beyond their control,
international soap opera star Juan Soler will no longer be conducting the Reina
de la Costa Maya Pageant as previously planned. Nevertheless, the good news is
the confirmation of another well-known television personality - Valentino Lanùs.
Born Luis Alberto Lopez in Mexico, Distrito Federal, this 26 year-old is one of
the most prominent young actors in Mexico. Many fans may remember this rising
star from soap operas like "Maria Isabel," "Amor Gitano," "La Casa en la Playa"
or in his current role as "Imanol" in "Mi primer amor a mil por
hora." The committee also informs the general public that
the Grand Costa Maya Raffle is still on. For only $10 a chance you will be able
to enter the raffle for a three-bedroom house and lot located at the new marina
area in San Pablo, which will be raffled sometime in December. A raffle booth
will be available at the festival grounds to purchase tickets.
The five contestants for the Reina de la Costa Maya
Pageant have arrived in "La Isla Bonita" and will make their first public
appearance on the island at "Noche Sanpedrana," to be held at Banyan Bay on
Friday night, August 10th.
