| Francisco Arredondo on a jet ski bound for Cuba
|
Earlier last week, yet another adventure-seeking individual made
his way to "La Isla Bonita." Traveling from his native Guatemala,
Francisco Arredondo is bound for Cuba - a wild trip across the sea -
riding on a jet ski!
Upon his arrival to San Pedro Town, Francisco stopped off at the
Caribbean Connection Internet CafÈ, where he took time to relate his
story to The San Pedro Sun. According to the Latin daredevil, his
thrilling expedition began at El Palacio Nacional where he first ran
two kilometers before jumping on a motorcycle for the 21-kilometer ride
to the Rio Dulce. Arriving at this coastal destination, he climbed
aboard a jet ski for the next leg of his journey to San Pedro Town. The
owner of a food distribution company in Guatemala, Francisco arrived
last Tuesday to the warm shores of Ambergris Caye after spending one
night in Placencia in the Stann Creek District of Belize.
In the midst of all this excitement, Francisco told The Sun, "It
is a wild voyage! I am basically doing it for the fun of it; why not
have a crazy adventure?" Accompanying the Guatemalan thrill-seeker on
this spectacular voyage is a six-member crew who will travel aboard
Francisco's boat La Cristina. "Come hell or high water, I leave
tomorrow for Xcalak, Mexico. From there, I expect it will take me four
days to get to Cuba," he stated. Francisco departed San Pedro Town on
Thursday, May 20th, at 6:00 a.m. from the dock at Ramon's Village
Resort en route to Cabo San Antonio, Cuba.
The San Pedro Sun wishes Francisco Arredondo the best of luck in
his adventure and will provide the results of his escapade when this
information becomes available.
