 
Zhenia Perez, a recent graduate from Saint John's College, has been employed as the trainee curator for the Ambergris Museum. Together with Peter Laws, a VSO curator, she has committed herself to do her utmost in preserving and promoting San Pedro's cultural and historical heritage. Finance for the traineeship has been acquired from the Cultural Promotion Program of the Inter-American Development Bank. "Being nineteen years of age, I can certainly say that I have yet to learn a lot about life and especially about Belizean history which is of so much importance, therefore I foresee this job as a great experience for me. I hope to earn trustworthy friends here since I am from Orange Walk Town and have recently moved here with my family. I am really looking forward to learning about the history of the island and helping local people to share and enjoy their culture."
