
Objections, opinions or suggestions to the following proposals may be forwarded to the Department of Transport in Belmopan. The Transport Advisory Council will be reviewing the proposals and suggestions and will make the final decision.

One-Way Streets
Department of Transport
In accordance with Regulations 193 and 194 of the Motor Vehicles and Road
Traffic Regulations (Chapter 192 of the Subsidiary laws of Belize), the
Department of Transport hereby makes declaration that it intends to place on
the table for consideration at the next Transport Advisory Council's meeting
the following Traffic restrictions and limitations in San Pedro Ambergris Caye.
1) To declare Black Coral Street a one-way street, with traffic flowing
in one direction from its intersection with Barrier Reef Drive to its
intersection with Almond Street.
Speed Limit
2) To declare Buccaneer Street a one-way street, with traffic flowing in
one direction from its intersection with Barrier Reef Drive to its
intersection with Angel Coral Street.
3) To declare Ambergris Street a one - way street with traffic flowing
in one direction from its intersection with Barrier Reef Drive to its
intersection with Angel Coral Street.
4) To declare Pelican Street a one- way street with traffic flowing in
one direction from its intersection with Angel Coral Street to its
intersection with Barrier Reef Drive.
5) To declare Barrier Reef Drive a one-way Street with traffic flowing
in one direction from its intersection with Tarpon Street to its
intersection with Caribena Street.
6) To declare Pescador Drive a one - way street with traffic flowing in
one direction from its intersection with Tarpon Street to its intersection
with Caribena Street.
7) To declare that the speed limits in San Pedro be as follows:
Parking
(a) Ten (10) miles per hour in residential areas.
(b) Fifteen (15) miles per hour in nonresidential areas.
8) To declare it mandatory for vehicles to park on the east side of the
following streets from the first to the fifteenth day of each month and on
the west side of the same streets from the sixteenth day to the end of each
month.
Streets to which declaration (8) is applicable are Barrier Reef Drive,
Pescador Drive, Angel Coral Street, Nurse Shark Street and Almond Street.
9) To declare it mandatory for vehicles to park on the north side of the
following streets from the first to the fifteenth of each month and on the
south side of the same streets from the sixteenth day to the end of each month.
Streets to which declaration (9) is applicable are: Caribena Street,
Pelican Street, Ambergris Street, Buccaneer Street, Black Coral Street and
Tarpon Street.
As per regulation 194 of the above cited regulations, the public is
advised that persons affected by this proposal must state their objections
to the Department of Transport, before the expiration of fourteen (14) days
after the third consecutive publication of this declaration in the Gazette.
